Introduction

Hello again, everyone.
After + - a week of time, we wanted to publish completely different news (about the tournament, server start, statistics, fixes of various moments, and so on).But the current situation forces us to change all our plans and deal with other issues. Anti-cheat and ban issues, to be precise. Some players begged, knelt on their knees, recorded various apology videos and so on… Roughly speaking, everyone wants to play. And we understand that. But what about cheaters? Thus, let's get straight to the point and talk about the main issue at hand.

Recent player bans

As many people have already noticed, a wide variety of players got a ban for one reason or another. We want to be as transparent as possible with our community, but at the same time, we don't want to expose ourselves to cheaters. So we will try to give at least some information, while avoiding details.

All bans (even manual ones) were issued for a reason. It is important to understand and explain that there are bans that (perhaps) issued to even legit (clean) players. As we wrote in previous blog post, false bans are an integral part of any new anti-cheat. At the moment, a lot of players have been banned for one reason or another. Some players have already had their bans lifted, but the rest haven't. Why? The most important thing is to separate legitimate players from cheaters. Therefore, the players that we don't have 100% and again - 100% confidence in, will still stay banned; but how long (?). Here, things get interesting - we need to find a different approach to this situation.

What is the approach?

All players who are currently banned will receive an unban, but there is just one small thing about it. If you are one of the banned players (you will see the negative response in your ticket) — there will be only one way to solve this.
For such players, we will create a custom (separate) game client. This client will function as an additional / almost final layer of protection. It can be treated as GsClient for public servers. All you have to do is download and play. Every person who is in currently banned will have a second shot to prove their "legitimacy".

What kind of client is this and how long should I wait for it?

We won't go into details, but our client gives you many advantages. Modern optimizations/split rendering, VBO renderer, shaders/bump mapping, alternative render refs, software strobing, swap/VSYNC management, frame pacing, no STEAM-overlay, and much more. You can easily Google all of the information above and find out yourself.
The engine provides a lot of advantages over the standard one. Our client is almost ready, all that remains is to set up the start menu for your convenience. You won't have to wait long. We will post the game client in our files, so that everyone can download and play with it. We recommend trying it at least once. Just see how it feels, maybe it's way better than your default STEAM client? Because while we were testing it, the game “felt” better for about 60-70% of players.
So, what's the conclusion? For now, players with an active ban have to wait. Just a little longer. All you have to do is to wait a bit, get your unban and log in to the server with our client. Oh, yes... about waiting. Don't repeat the mistakes of others — do not bypass the active ban, you will get a permanent one.

This guy is still clueless about why he was banned... "Yes, I just tested the cheat; to see if it works. Why? Is it such a big deal?" By the way, I literally told him to simply WAIT. Don't do nothing - just wait. It doesn't matter what you do, and what your intentions are — don't bypass the active ban. Just wait, no one has forgotten about you. The wait is unpleasant, yes, we understand that. But you have to understand it as well. Let's all agree here, it's way better this way than playing on a server where it's not clear who is cheating and who is not.
