There's been a fairly long pause in news and updates. Unfortunately, we simply don't have enough time to handle all the issues that require attention. The project thrives on the pure enthusiasm of people who still somehow care about HNS. But that's not the point now.
We've got a ton of news today, so get comfortable. But first, check out the HNSRU promo video from the already infamous moviemaker stater_x. Support him by giving the video a like and subscribing to his channel. We sincerely hope that this is just one of many videos he will make when it comes to HNS.
We will talk about various changes/innovations and, most importantly, about the upcoming HNSRU Winter Tournament! So let's get right to the point.

Since we've opened, we have banned quite a significant number of players. Some of them played with cheats in the open, some tried to be more legit. But in general, there are plenty of suspicious players.
The anti-cheat performed even better than we could have imagined. We will not go into details on specifics. However, we also decided to be transparent with the community.
Thus, I want to say the following — we see you. It doesn't matter what cheat you use, and with what settings. If you don't have an active ban, it means that our hands are busy with other matters. In fact, tasks that are happening "behind the scenes" are not visible to anyone except for us. And believe me, there is a ton of them. Whether it's a server update, client development, website development, new features, etc.

By the way, about new features. The Equalizer MOD, what is it and how it works?
No matter how much we tell you that our anti-cheat is the best and it is impossible to get around it — that's not entirely true. Even the most advanced anti-cheats like Vanguard or Faceit have been bypassed, are being bypassed, and will continue to be bypassed. Cheating scene will always be present no matter what game you are playing. Therefore, we decided to approach this problem from a different angle.
The capabilities of the GoldSrc engine allow us to implement a mode that "levels" the game for everyone. All your jumps will not go beyond the fixed parameters, whether it is Bhop, GS or SGS — it doesn't matter. Every single player on the server will jump the same way as others. For cheaters, this means only one thing — their software will be completely useless. All micro things (bhop/gs/sgs) will be at the same level for everyone. But the macro game will be completely on you.
This is an experimental mode. It's still in development and will be ready soon. It's important to note that we won't force you to play with it by default. Before you start your game, you'll have the usual vote/choice to play with or without it.

A few words about the servers. After reviewing and collecting statistics, we realized that maintaining two servers, one for 100AA and one for 10AA, doesn't make sense. 10AA is essentially an HLTV server; people rarely play on it. It's practically empty 24/7. So, we'll combine the HNSRU Stats statistics onto a single server. And whether it's boost or skill, 100AA or 10AA—it doesn't matter. You can play any mode on the server whenever you want. The second server will be reserved for tournaments and other events. If needed, we can always open a separate 10AA server again.
Another important info — we're completely removing the /replace command and server replacements. In theory, /replace was supposed to solve a ton of problems. However, it only creates them. If someone joins a mix game, they should always be ready to finish it. Otherwise, what is the point of playing? Naturally, in an emergency-like situation, an admin can always replace you. But right now, /replace only adds a bunch of bugs to HNSRU Stats, creates imbalanced mix matches, ruins the experience for players and a ton of other problems. So, we've removed /replace completely.
HSNRU Client development will take much longer than we thought. We are not going to release it in its RAW state with bugs and a bunch of other issues. Thus, you'll just have to wait. But wait a minute... what about all the current bans?
Once again, we want to be transparent with the community, so we'll share some details about their bans.
Currently, we have two types of players, 100% cheaters and people that are rather suspicious. Did 'sus' players really cheat? Answer is — we haven't found out yet. As it was stated previously, our hands are occupied with other urgent matters. Don't worry, we'll sort everything out and bring the hammer of justice on every cheater out there, but it will take some time.
Meantime, with the introduction of EQ MOd, these players will receive an unban and continue to play on the servers while we develop the HNSRU Client. But other, obvious cheaters who played brazenly and did not even try to hide their hacks will remain banned. Such players have only one option — paid unban.

We'll finally be implementing paid unbanning. Unfortunately, right before we released this news, we were denied access to Ukasa for RU region, so we'll be looking for an alternative for automatic paid unbans. Paid unban should be coming soon. But there are a few more things that have to be mentioned.
Let's announce the price right away — 2000 rubles or 20 euro. These are not "cosmic" figures in 2025, given inflation and current prices on pretty much everything. But this is not the main factor.
A lot of hard work has already been invested in the project, and there are lots of innovations to come that have not been seen on either KZ or HNS scene. Therefore, the price tag is adjusted accordingly.
It should be mentioned that even if you have a paid your way out of ban, you will not receive it immediately. You will have a certain "cooldown". After payment, you will still stay banned for 3-7 days. Why?
Allowing cheaters to play on servers essentially for money is not the most adequate solution. So even after the payment, you will have to sit for a while and think about whether it is worth playing with cheats again. Last but not least, if you think that playing with hacks repeatedly and simply paying your way out will be the case — think again. Depending on the severity of your case, you might get a permanent ban without a paid unban option. So once again, do not cheat guys, it's just not worth it.

The most anticipated event of the community is always a tournament. But this time, we'll do it differently.
Back in the day, pretty much all the tournaments were simply announced... and that was it. Everything was already decided by the people in charge. This time we are switching things. The HNSRU Winter Tournament will depend entirely on the players themselves. Everything, starting with the AA settings, ending up with number of players and maps will be decided by the player base.
We've created a questionnaire with all the parameters you need to select and decide which tournament you want to play. It's all up to you. Voting ends in 14 days.
Make sure you have time to leave your vote. Voting is open via this link.

Upon closer examination of the player's statistics, we realised something was definitely 'off' to say the least. Most of the current players have no idea how to time their jumps properly. This is quite a big issue, and approximately 60% of the entire playerbase (from both KZ/HNS) is affected by it. So we decided to step in and help you guys out.
The Scroll Pattern Trainer will help you time your jumps properly and fix your bhop/gs/sgs issues.
Perhaps you saw this tool somewhere else. But it wasn't properly released until now.
So, before the tournament starts, we urge you to download it and practice your timings.
Download the file and view detailed info can be done via this link.
That's it, folks. Slowly but surely moving forward.
If someone missed it, we've opened a new rubric — Digest. We were a little late with it, because there are just a bunch of tasks on hand + everything is changing very quickly. Still, Digest section will inform you about project related changes to keep you up to date.
We also opened a new European Server, where all players have the same ping (make sure to check it out) — HNSRU Viena.
If you have any questions, you know where to find us.
GL!
