So the year 2025 has come to an end. Time passes quickly and imperceptibly. It seemed like just yesterday we were playing 10aa on de_piranesi and making primitive x2 boosts, and today we are flying along the slides on a green map called brickworld with 700+ Speed. This post will be quite short, and in it, I want to congratulate all the community on the New Year 2026 ! So yes, Happy New Year! I wish everyone success both in their personal lives and on the Internet. No matter what you do, I wish that this year everything you have planned will work out in x2 x3 or even in x10 better than in the previous one.

The Last 3x3 Tournament

I can say a lot about the tournament, but in general, everything went well. Despite the non-standard maps, many of the participants were quite amazing to watch. The level of play on such maps can always be very random, based on the fact that they are far from being in the meta. So thank you to everyone who prepared and showed a beautiful game. Also, let's not forget about the meme moments where people on the day of the tournament abruptly remembered that they had to check GameGuard before entering the server.
As for the first tournament after a long drought, everything turned out very well. Many thanks to all participants, sponsors, donaters, viewers, all admins/judges and the HNSRU team. And once again, a special thank you to the guys from Fastcup. Their anti-cheat, once again, provided us with an additional and most important layer of protection against potentially unfair play. Without all of you the tournament and the HNSRU community simply wouldn't exist.

Recap of the outgoing 2025

During this 2025 year, we managed to raise the old site backup, create servers with advanced anti-cheat, a system of almost automated tournaments, recruit an adequate team of admins, attract several more sponsors, start developing a custom client, and much more. There are still a lot of plans for the development of the HNS scene. But for us, this is not a job, alas, everyone is already quite grown-up, and it is simply unrealistic to devote 100% of our free time to the project. So we will do everything in our own time, slowly and steady wins the race.
I want to personally express my gratitude to the guys who started all this together with me. 90% of all work done was done by them. And I am simply sort of a 'face' of this community at the moment. Anyway, they are the ones you have to thank for a stable and smooth gameplay and all the new features implemented on both website and servers.

What's next?

It's quite straightforward from this point on. We enjoy HNS in the form in which it is now available. And to be honest, I am pleasantly surprised that it is so active and lively. If anyone didn't know, in addition to the 16 teams that registered for the tournament (mostly 4 players per team), at least 4 more teams wanted to sign up. So I will answer the question that is now being asked very often — the next tournament, most likely, will be 5х5 Skill. We don't know exactly when we will hold it yet, but probably closer to spring. I will also try to promote the idea of a certain Competition for our few mappers. We will try to motivate them to create high-quality and, most importantly, new maps for the community. And also finally try to finish the paid unban feature xd.
But the most important and ambitious thing is to move to a convenient and comfortable new website. We don't know when exactly this will happen, but the current site is already quite old, and most importantly, inconvenient. Working with it is quite difficult. Integrating new things here is more difficult than it might seem at first glance.
